The Spa at Vdara manages to do something that most spas rarely try to achieve: an experience that is as mindful of luxury and relaxation as it is holistic healing and eco-friendly practices.

As part of the LEED gold-certified CityCenter complex, this spa uses mostly organic products, installed water-saving showers and offers natural nail treatments with vegan products.

The treatments are still indulgent (try the French lavender soothing massage), but you can feel good inside and out thanks to the spa's philosophy.

Our Inspector's Highlights

The hotel spa offers several specialty massages using all-natural Naturopathica products, in addition to traditional massages (such as Swedish, hot stone and deep tissue), facials and sunless bronzing.
For a day of beauty, head to the salon for haircuts, updos, hair coloring, extensions and tons of nail services, including manis and pedis, French tips and acrylic nails.
Look for nice added touches that show the spa’s attention to detail, like a solitary flower floating in a bowl of water below the face opening of the massage table.
Robes, slippers and towels are provided to use during your treatments. The robe is made of a soft white microfiber and is designed by high-end retailer Chadsworth & Haig, who makes robes for upscale spas around the country.
The sweet-smelling products used in the lavish treatments are available for purchase in the shop near the spa’s entrance. The spa sells products by Peter Thomas Roth, a clinical skincare line that’s great for tough blemishes on male skin, and fragrant, all-natural products from brands like Naturopathica and Red Flower.

Things to Know

If you’re in need of a little pampering, the best way to get an appointment at The Spa at Vdara is to call or make an appointment online.
The Vegas retreat can take reservations up to two months in advance, so feel free to book ahead for large parties or holiday gifts.
If you cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance you won’t be charged any fees.
Wear whatever you’d like to your treatment at The Spa at Vdara, though the spa suggests something light and comfortable that you can change into and out of easily.
This adult haven is only open to guests 18 or older. However, the spa’s fitness center is open to minors, so long as they are accompanied by an adult.

The Treatments

For complete pampering that will leave you looking and feeling your best, try the Head-to-Toe Glow treatment. A full body exfoliant and 80-minute Radiance Facial are sure to give your skin and face the care that they deserve.

Signature specials (such as the On the Rocks treatment) incorporate unique methods (the volcanic rock body massage, for example) to relax guests to the fullest.

Take advantage of the salon during your visit. A variety of manicures, pedicures, and hair removal services will round out your spa day.

The Facilities

If you need to de-stress before your treatment or want the relaxation to keep coming, head to the locker room, where you’ll find an invigorating eucalyptus steam room that will literally wash away your worries.
The locker room also features a redwood sauna and a meditation lounge where you can regain your balance and focus. Access to the steam room is included with any spa treatment.
If you like going from one extreme to the next, take a dip in the hot plunge pool, which has a pretty fountain running into it, then cool off with a chilled towel provided near the pool. Bathing suits are optional in this area of the spa.
Each of the 11 treatment rooms is decorated in a gray-and-white striped stone floor that gives the room a soothing, natural vibe, and there’s a robe warmer to keep your cover up toasty while you’re getting your treatment.
If you want to lie down for a quick catnap or relax while a friend takes a dip in the plunge pool, take a seat in the heated lounge chairs where you can warm your muscles and put your mind at ease.
