Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown
A new luxury spot in Lower Manhattan
VERIFIED LUXURY
We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience goes beyond how your surroundings look — how your visit makes you feel is what you will remember most.
We started in 1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.
Five-Star
These properties deliver an outstanding experience and consistently offer a highly customized level of service.
Four-Star
These are exceptional properties, offering high levels of service and quality of facility to match.
Recommended
These are excellent properties with consistently good service and facilities.

Standing 82 stories tall just a block from the World Trade Center, the new Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown helps usher the rebirth of Lower Manhattan post-September 11.
All of the windows have breathtaking views of the city and that includes the nearby Santiago Calatrava-designed Oculus, a $3.9 billion art structure in the World Trade Center Transportation Hub that was created as a tangible expression of neighborhood resiliency.
The area is heavy with shopping options, such as the Westfield World Trade Center (Dior, Caudalie, Tumi), Brookfield Place (Gucci, Jo Malone, Burberry) and Soho boutiques. There are also eateries in every direction serving pizza, pasta, seafood and anything one can imagine.

Our Inspector's Highlights
- Renowned designer Yabu Pushelberg did the room interiors and also gave a modern, chic flair to the rest of the hotel. Tidal wave marble walls add striking visuals, as do a display of gilded books in the lobby and an eye-catching suspended staircase.
- One place where Four Seasons Downtown shines is its spa. Seven different rooms offer services like the Luxury Green Caviar, a skin-revamping treatment, and the Executive Recharge, a quick 25-minute head, shoulders and neck massage that’s ideal for on-the-go businesspeople.
- Swiss skin-care brand Dr. Burgener makes its American debut in the spa, which also is the only place in New York for Omorovicza of Hungary facials.
- Another reason to visit is the hotel’s restaurant. CUT by Wolfang Puck is the first New York City outpost owned by famed chef Wolfgang Puck offering classic steak house fare.
- The Lower Manhattan hotel also houses a 75-foot long heated pool and a fitness center with a stretching apparatus, several elliptical machines and personal coaches to help guide you through all of the equipment.
Things to Know
- The family-friendly New York hotel offers a variety of kid-sized amenities including milk and cookies at turndown, welcome gifts, child-sized bathrobes and children’s menus.
- Perched on the 24th floor is the hotel’s most luxurious suite. Measuring 2,400 square feet (massive by Manhattan standards), the Royal Suite comprises half of the entire floor and includes private butler service, a dining room that seats 10 and a full media room.
- It’s not easy to take an indoor pool and make it feel like you’re outdoors basking in the sunshine, but the Four Seasons has done just that. The gorgeous pool room, with its two-story windows, is bathed in natural light.
The Rooms
- Accommodations at this Tribeca hotel span from 400 to 2,400 square feet and are equipped with the tech perks you’d expect (55-inch smart TVs, Bose stereos, iPad to request services, in-mirror televisions in the bathroom), hardwood floors, plush sofas and leather chairs.
- The rooms showcase a soothing yet sophisticated palette of grays, tans and light blues and purples. Accents of bronze and leather add a slightly masculine look.
- The marble bathrooms come with oval deep-soaking bathtubs and separate showers, heated floors as well as floor-to-ceiling mirrors.
- You’ll relish Four Seasons’ customizable beds, where you choose whether you want a plush, firm or signature mattress topper. When hunger hits, peruse the minibar, which is filled with hyper-local food and drinks from around the neighborhood.
The Restaurants
- The 86-seat dining room (there’s also a private dining room which can seat 31 guests) and a 32-seat lounge at CUT have a supper club feel. With ruby colored chairs and dark walls accented with gold, Puck harkens back to a different era.
- The throwback energy is also reflected in the menu: the restaurant serves classic steakhouse fare highlighted by its Japanese Wagyu beef.
- The comfortable lounge atmosphere makes CUT the perfect place for a classic New York cocktail or a glass of vino from the restaurant’s robust wine list.
- The Wolfgang Puck branded restaurant serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner daily as well as Sunday brunch featuring a roaming Bloody Mary trolley serving variations of the classic cocktail including The Bloody Maria and The Bloody Carrot.
